We currently stand at a critical, momentous point in our history, one in which we are fighting for the very survival of our democracy and the soul of our nation. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. That’s why it’s important — now more than ever – that we hold a strong, united front as we combat the attacks on our democracy and our ballots.
Representation and civic engagement do not start and end on Election Day. As an elected official and civic technologist, I understand first-hand the experiences of our communities across this nation and what’s at stake if we do not have the tools, resources, and energy to make our voice center in our future.
What’s more, Contra Costa County deserves a Clerk-Recorder who will lead with empathy, integrity, and passion in serving the people who utilize the services of the office. As Clerk-Recorder, I will center the working people in our county so that no one is turned away or dismissed in the Clerk-Recorder’s office.
Expand and protect the right to vote
by implementing new federal and state laws as they are signed into law
Improve voter outreach and community engagement
by working with neighborhood associations, local clerks, community-based organizations, and school administrators to coordinate voter education efforts
Lead with empathy
in delivering the essential services of the Clerk-Recorder’s office
Prioritize the security and integrity of our elections
by modernizing our assets and implementing important technological improvements

I will prioritize the acceleration of solar installation on all Clerk-Recorder buildings and assets, establish energy-efficient, zero-emission fleet management and operation practices, and support installation of EV charging stations and bicycle rack infrastructure at the Clerk-Recorder’s office.
